Treat yourself to an indulgent art retreat at The White House - a luxury boutique hotel featured in The Sunday Times best places to stay in the UK. The beautifully restored Elizabethan manor house is set deep in Norfolk farmland, near the Norfolk Coast. A tranquil country house, with cosy fires and lush reception rooms with gorgeous velvet sofas, specially commissioned work by Norfolk artists and light streaming in through huge windows. Each tranquil bedroom is individually decorated for peaceful comfort. The bathrooms, many with freestanding baths, and all with rain showers are stocked with the divine natural Bramley products. Wake up, turn on your Roberts Radio and curl up in your crisp white sheets with a cup of tea and look out on to the gentle surrounding countryside. There’s also a delectable breakfast buffet spread, absolutely worth getting up for, with a scrumptious choice of locally sourced, home cooked breakfasts and a thoughtfully stocked Honesty Bar for later.

I'm delighted to be returning to The White House for another art retreat with Big Sky Art. The art retreat includes 4 full days of tuition, 5 nights in the hotel, 5 dinners, 4 lunches and 5 breakfasts. Painting lessons will take place in the light and spacious purpose built studio. Breathe life into your water colour painting and embrace the power of colour and graphic mark-making - with subjects such as still life and fabulous florals. We had such a fabulous time last year and the group created some stunning work, which you can see below. And non painting partners are very welcome to come along and enjoy the delights of staying at The White House.

It is a relaxing venue. The rooms are well furnished and the sitting rooms comfortable and made mixing easy with other painters and parteners

Meals were good and the honesty bar worked well. Staff very friendly but not intrusive
